Whitlaw 2014/2024 - Sinatory Vintage Copper

"Whitlaw" is a pseudonym for the Highland Park Distillery. This whisky is quaffable, fruity and well-balanced.

As an independent bottler of various Scotch whiskies, Signatory has been selling exclusive cask bottlings under its own name since 1988, thus providing many fans with access to brands that do not release bottlings under their own logo. Their own cask warehouse, with well over 10,000 casks, still contains a stock of bottlings from some distilleries that are either already closed or have enjoyed such popularity for years that they no longer release casks to independent bottlers. For some years now, some of these distilleries have experienced such strong demand from whisky enthusiasts that many bottlings are now released without an age statement, as the old stock often simply does not have the necessary capacity. It's different at Signatory: each bottling includes information about the distillation and bottling date, the cask and bottle number, the type of cask and whether it has been chill-filtered. All bottlings generally correspond to their own color and have not been colored with caramel. Some bottlings consist not only of one cask, but of a marriage of two casks, rarely also three to four. The casks are selected by hand and bottled in their own facility. The bottles are packaged in high-quality and attractively designed gift boxes made of cardboard or tinplate. For the particularly valuable bottlings, piano wood or walnut is used.
