Hello, do you know "Zwickauer Koks"?

A historical coffee and chocolate liqueur that has been drunk in Zwickau and the Ore Mountains since World War I.

It is said that the miners who took their wages to the pub on payday brought their wives a bottle of #Zwickauer Koks as a peace offering.

This liqueur was produced in Zwickau until the 1960s.

After that, it was produced in Meerane, until after the German reunification, the rights went to Bad Oldesloe.

Following the change in trademark law, Bad Oldesloe was no longer allowed to produce Zwickauer Koks.

As the trademark rights became available again in October 2024, the traditional company @Maethe in Zwickau secured the naming and production rights. In November 2024, the first bottles were produced and bottled in-house.
