Scotland's Rugged North – A Journey of Magic and Vastness

03.04. – 16.04.2027

There are places that touch you from the very first moment – Scotland's North is just such a place. Rugged, unspoiled, and of a beauty that can hardly be put into words. This two-week journey is more than just a holiday: it is an invitation to feel the vastness of the Highlands, to experience the power of the coasts, and to immerse yourself in a world that will linger long after you leave.

The Beginning of a Special Adventure

Even the journey there becomes part of the experience. The path leads together to Amsterdam, where the ferry crossing begins. As the ship glides calmly across the North Sea, deceleration sets in – everyday life is left behind, and the view opens up to what is to come.

The next day we reach Newcastle and continue our journey north. With each kilometre, the landscape changes, becoming vaster, wilder, and more impressive.

Arriving in the Highlands

Via Inverness, the cultural heart of the Highlands, we reach the region around Dornoch. Here, a cosy cottage awaits you – a retreat that invites you to take a deep breath and feel at ease.

From here, we discover a fascinating environment: dramatic coastlines, mysterious lochs, and impressive castles characterise the scenery. It is these quiet, intense moments that make this journey so special.

The North Coast 500 – Freedom on Four Wheels

An absolute highlight is the legendary North Coast 500 – one of Europe's most beautiful coastal roads. New, breathtaking views open up around every bend. The wind, the vastness, the light – here, every drive becomes an experience.

We visit John o’ Groats, the northernmost point of the British mainland, and marvel at the fairytale Dunrobin Castle with its magnificent gardens.

Culture, Enjoyment, and Scottish Tradition

Of course, enjoyment must not be missed. In traditional whisky distilleries, we delve deep into the art of distillation. Places like Old Pulteney and Highland Park stand for centuries of craftsmanship and distinctive taste.

A stylish High Tea rounds off the experience and shows Scotland from its elegant side – a perfect balance between originality and sophistication.

The Mysterious Orkney Islands

Another highlight is the excursion to the Orkney Islands. Rugged, steeped in history, and full of secrets, they offer fascinating insights into millennia-old cultures. Here, past and present meet in an impressive way.

Small Towns, Big Impressions

Charming towns like Brora and Ullapool invite you to linger. In Inverness, the Victorian Market captivates with its special flair, while historical sites like Carn Liath tell stories from bygone times.

Comfort and Relaxation on the Go

Throughout the entire trip, you will enjoy high comfort: accommodation with breakfast is included, as well as complimentary drinks on the bus. This way, you can fully concentrate on the essentials – experiencing, discovering, and enjoying.
